Clinical Scope & Procedures:The ideal candidate is comfortable performing a broad range of urologic procedures, including:TURBTsTURPsStone proceduresVasectomiesTRUS biopsiesScrotal surgeriesFoley catheter placements (including returntohospital needs)Management of infected stonesAdditional general urology procedures as clinically indicatedNo trauma casesTeam & Facility Support:1 Physician Assistant in clinic2 Urology nurses supporting outpatient care5 OR rooms availableAnesthesia support providedDedicated OR block time: typically, 1 full day per weekOncall: from home, ~10 calls per monthPrimarily triageOccasional return for Foley placement or urgent urologic needsClinic & Inpatient Responsibilities:See approximately 13 patients per day in clinicPerform screening consultsManage inpatient urology consultsProvide continuity of care for Veterans across outpatient and inpatient settingsQualifications:MD or DO from an accredited institutionCompletion of Urology residency training at a U.S.accredited programBoard Certified or Board Eligible in UrologyActive, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state accepted)U.S. citizenship required (per VA hiring regulations)Strong commitment to Veterancentered careBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceWork Location: In person
