Real America’s Voice News is seeking an energetic, experienced, and detail-oriented TV Shift Supervisor to oversee the daily production of both live television broadcasts and recorded programming. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced broadcast environment and is passionate about operational excellence, team leadership, and delivering high-quality content.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will be more than a Supervisor—you will be a key leader responsible for guiding production teams, maintaining technical and broadcast standards, and ensuring smooth execution across all programming during your assigned shift. You will help create a collaborative, solutions-driven culture while supporting innovation, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
Job Summary
The TV Shift Supervisor leads broadcast operations during designated shifts, ensuring that all live and recorded programming runs smoothly, on time, and to the highest technical and editorial standards. This role oversees production staff, coordinates technical execution, troubleshoots issues in real time, and contributes to the creative and operational success of the broadcast. The ideal candidate is a confident leader with strong technical production knowledge and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a live studio environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily broadcast and production activities to ensure all programming airs on schedule and meets quality standards.
- Lead or assist production teams during live shows and recorded sessions to keep operations running efficiently.
- Direct live event or television technical direction, including live switching and managing video execution in a live production environment.
- Switch video sources through a video matrix switcher, perform digital effects and transitions, and insert live or pre-recorded material and graphics as directed by the Producer.
- Monitor live feeds and recorded content for technical quality, accuracy, compliance, and signal integrity.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues quickly and effectively in a fast-paced studio environment to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are checked, tested, and fully operational before live broadcasts and recording sessions.
- Coordinate with technical and production teams to maintain workflow continuity and resolve operational issues.
- Provide creative and technical input into both video and audio production elements.
- Oversee shift schedules, assign responsibilities, and support staff training to maintain high performance.
- Mentor and develop team members by encouraging collaboration, accountability, and continuous skill enhancement.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, technical excellence, and broadcast quality.

Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced television, live production, or media environment.
- Strong knowledge of broadcast technology, including video switching, audio mixing, and signal flow.
- Experience with live event switching, TV direction in a live environment, and overall live television production workflow.
- Ability to think quickly, solve problems under pressure, and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Familiarity with studio workflow and live TV production environments.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud for editing field packages from raw materials.
- Understanding of NDI/NDI Tools workflow and capabilities.
- Familiarity with NewTek TriCaster switchers is preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
