Job Title: Trust Associate
Location: Houston, TX
PR: $24-31/hr
Type: Hybrid 4 days onsite 1 remote
What you'll do:
As a Trust Associate II you'll be responsible for working on client relationships and ensuring excellent client service and delivery to the client base. You'll be assigned a book of clients that are managing Collateral Loan Obligations (CLOs) and Leverage Finance Facilities. You'll also be working on day-to-day operations and reporting delivery to those clients. You'll need little supervision for all the day-to-day activities being executed and you'll assist in customer deals.
Responsible for creating technical report specifications from indenture language.
Set up payment calculations in a variety of in-house systems.
Receive, map, and reconcile periodic collateral data.
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual payment and/or tax reports.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
Perform portfolio compliance tests on a selection of structured fixed income deals (trade testing).
Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
Frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies.
Responsible for ensuring excellent service delivery to a book of Loan Clients in the Corporate Trust Business.
Participate in new client proposals.
Contribute to business-related projects.
Make tax elections, file for EIN’s, and track residual holder transfers.
Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements.
What you'll need:
3+ years of related experience or similar field.
High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
Intermediate TranStar experience preferred.
Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
