As a Trust Administrator, you’ll play a key role in managing sophisticated trust matters from start to finish. You’ll work closely with attorneys, fiduciaries, and clients, becoming a trusted resource in the administration process.
Your work will include:
- Managing the administration of a wide variety of trusts, including irrevocable, revocable, testamentary, charitable, and family trusts
- Overseeing day-to-day trust activity, including but not limited to distributions, accountings, and ensuring compliance with governing documents
- Serving as a central point of contact for trustees, beneficiaries, attorneys, accountants, and financial institutions
- Reviewing trust documents and translating them into clear, actionable administrative steps
- Preparing and maintaining detailed fiduciary records, correspondence, and trust accountings
- Assisting with fiduciary income tax return preparation and supporting documentation
- Partnering with attorneys on estate and tax planning strategies tied to trust administration
- Managing timelines and ensuring all deadlines and obligations are met with precision
We’re looking for someone who is not just technically strong, but also thoughtful, organized, and client-focused.
- 3–5+ years of experience in trust administration (law firm, bank, or wealth management environment preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; paralegal certificate or relevant coursework is a plus
- Understanding of Massachusetts trust law and fiduciary responsibilities
- Working knowledge of fiduciary accounting and individual income taxation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with high-net-worth clients and professionals
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with trust accounting or legal software is a plus
