This role offers the opportunity to lead commercial construction projects across the country for a well-established contractor that has been delivering quality work nationwide since 1981. As a Traveling Superintendent, you will oversee field operations on a variety of projects, including grocery stores, equipment dealerships, restaurants, travel centers, car dealerships, and car washes. You will coordinate subcontractors, monitor schedules and performance, and ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual standards while traveling regularly and returning home every other weekend.
Responsibilities
This is a traveling field-based role where you will work on commercial construction sites across the country. You will typically drive to the project at the start and remain on site for the duration of the assignment, with travel home every other weekend. Lodging and flights are arranged and paid for, and you will receive a daily per diem for food and a monthly vehicle allowance. When you fly home, a rental car is provided for weekend use. You will work closely with a Construction Management team of approximately 37 professionals, many of whom also travel regularly. The company provides a supportive culture with on-site amenities at the main office, including a fitness center with access to professional trainers and a baseball batting cage available to all employees. You will use company-provided technology, including a company phone, and may work with construction management software such as Procore, where experience is considered a plus. The work environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and long-term client relationships.
