Travel LCSW - Full Time Contract

Make a meaningful impact as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Falmouth, MA. Provide psychosocial assessments, crisis counseling, discharge planning, and care coordination in a hospital Emergency Department setting. Advocate for patients and families to access appropriate community resources and inpatient or outpatient behavioral health services. Collaborate with psychiatrists, APRNs, physicians, nursing staff, and community agencies. Participate in mandated reporting for child and elder abuse and support quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Massachusetts licensure as an Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in good standing.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working with behavioral health patients, including Emergency Department patients and families in an Emergency Center or acute care hospital setting.
• Experience performing mental health and substance abuse assessments and coordinating referrals and placements for inpatient psychiatric care and outpatient treatment.
• Familiarity with local and state community resources and ability to access and coordinate those services.
• Experience with discharge planning, home care planning, and working with third-party payers to obtain authorizations when needed.
• Ability to provide crisis intervention and short-term therapeutic counseling in an ED setting.
• Completion of a facility-approved de-escalation certification course (e.g., CPI/MAB) within 90 days of hire is required by the client. This is a client-specific requirement.
• Ability to work in a demanding environment and communicate effectively in English.
• Preferred: Previous experience supervising social work students or participating in field instruction.
