We are searching for a Transportation Engineer to join our team!

Description

  • Design and manage large-scale roadway projects.
  • Review and approve designs for regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate technical content and ensure quality delivery.
  • Meet with clients to understand and plan for project needs.
  • Oversee project consistency, efficiency, and quality control.
  • Prepare design calculations, cost estimates, and contract documents.
  • Conduct field assessments and document existing conditions.
  • Support proposal development and attend industry events.
  • Mentor and supervise junior engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Illinois DOT projects.
  • Expert knowledge of IDOT Design Manuals, Standards, Specifications, and Guidelines.
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • Excellent technical writing with the ability to develop work plans and document technical discussions required.
  • Successful multidisciplinary team/task management or design lead experience.
  • Proficient in 3D and 4D Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software and techniques
  • Strong understanding of engineering design principles
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
  • Familiar with industry design standards such as AASHTO and NACTO

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $94000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
