Whatyou'llbe challenged to do:

Currently seeking aTrack Engineering Managerwithin our Transit and Freight Rail Sectors. The candidate will work with multi-discipline teams onwide-rangingtransit and rail projects as well asassistinginmaintainingexisting client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience with transit and freight rail design and capable of being an integral part of a project team committed to providing high quality designs.

In this capacity, the successful candidate willbe responsible forthe following:

  • Responsible for overallTrackProject Management includingscopedevelopment, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety.
  • Serve as leadTrack Engineeron projects.
  • Assures that projects are completed within theallocatedtime and budget.
  • Provide team leadershipand technicalexpertise.
  • Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of junior engineers and techniciansserving asdirect reports to the Track Manager
  • Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model.
  • Assistswith writing proposals and making presentations.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;establishingpersonal networks;participatingin professional societiessuch as AREMA.
  • Serves as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibility.
  • Perform Independent Reviews of major projects.

Education | Experience:

Whatyou'llbring to our firm:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineeringfieldrequired
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in design of major transit/freight rail engineering transportation projects
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong experience working with transit agencies and/or Class 1 Railroads
  • Ability to lead civil/track aspects on multiple assignments
  • Strong experience in the preparation of plans, specifications,estimates, construction phasing, and construction schedules
  • Extensive working knowledge ofOpenRailDesigner and Civil3Dplatforms
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software
  • Professional Engineer licenserequired
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems,seeksto learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.

Compensation:

Therange for this position is salary rangeis $190,000-$230,000. Salary is dependent upon experience, qualifications,and geographic location.
