Job Brief

Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Rule Die Making Technician for our client. This position involves operating CNC Hurco VM10 lathes and SDS Easy Bender metal bending machines to produce rule dies and prototype components. Responsibilities include reading design drawings, setting up and monitoring machinery, inspecting materials for quality, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Operate CNC Hurco VM10 lathe and SDS Easy Bender metal bending machines.
• Read and interpret design drawings to produce rule dies and other prototype components.
• Set up equipment and machinery to required specifications.
• Monitor equipment operation to ensure consistent quality and adherence to standards.
• Inspect materials and products for quality assurance.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• Proven experience in rule die making.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machines, specifically the Hurco VM10 lathe.
• Expertise in metal bending and working with SDS Easy Bender equipment.
• Ability to read and understand technical design drawings and understand the hazards related to machine shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Skills required: Rule Die Making. CNC Hurco Operation. CNC Lathe Operation. SDS Easy Bender Operation. Metal Bending Expertise0
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Communication skills.
