Experience repairing and maintaining heavy presses, blank, transfer, and progressive dies
A-surface end products i.e. large products, exposed panels
Maintenance skills: Welding (stick and tig preferred)
Analytical skills
Mechanical skills
Math & Computer skills
Tool Room equipment knowledge (mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses)
Physical demands: must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
3 years of tool & die experience
Class-A experience
Tool & Die, Die Maker, Die Setter, Tooling, Tool Room, Machinist, and Machining
Experience with heavy presses, blank, transfer, and progressive dies (repairing and maintaining)
Surface end products i.e. large products, exposed panels
High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive die background (3+ years)
Journeyman or apprenticeship card
Draw die repair: taking damaged die and using techniques such as heat raising or welding and then finishing by hand
