Test Technician - Lisle, IL

8AM-5PM MONDAY-FRIDAY

$30-$35/hr

Job Description

The role involves the use of basic hand and power tools for the assembly and testing of materials. This position requires familiarity with light manufacturing and shop equipment, as well as basic electronics components and methods such as wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and using a multimeter. Tasks include executing various mechanical tests in accordance with industry, customer, and internal specifications, troubleshooting, and operating automated test equipment. Basic computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Confidently use basic hand and power tools for assembly, modification, and repair.
• Operate light manufacturing equipment such as a drill press, band saw, and milling machine.
• Perform electrical assembly, including wire stripping, crimping, soldering, and safe use of a multimeter.
• Execute tasks involving mechanical tests per specifications.
• Troubleshoot and operate automated test equipment.
• Utilize CAD software such as SolidWorks, NX, or Fusion 360 for mechanical design.
• Engage in programming tasks using languages like PLC, Python, or C/C++.
• Plug materials into a computer to determine pass/fail status.
• Work with fiber optic materials and package the final product after testing.
• Participate in quality control and work with electronics and blueprints.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean, temperature-controlled, and designed to be a beautiful space for manufacturing. The role involves working on a production floor where comfort with lifting is necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lisle, IL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lisle,IL.
