Position: Test Engineer

Location: Jacksonville, Florida (must be local)

12-month Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $30-$35 Hourly Based On Experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Validation Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in validating a high-visibility raw material implementation project. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency across multiple manufacturing platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and manage multiple engineering and material implementation/validation projects across diverse manufacturing platforms.
• Develop, implement, and qualify materials, equipment, and process enhancements to support priority material implementation.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver innovative solutions.
• Lead project management activities to qualify materials, processes, equipment, systems, and tools.
• Perform root cause analysis to improve manufacturing equipment, processes, and systems.
• Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including change management and quality system records.
• Respond with agility to unplanned downtime or excessive rejects during protocols, developing solutions to successfully complete validations and testing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
• 2 years of experience in submitting test documentation and managing change requests.
• Hands-on experience with nonconformance investigations and CAPAs.
• Background in working within regulated industry environments.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with validations and processing technical documents (DOE/IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Medical device industry experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus.
