Job Title: Technical Systems Analyst
Location: Atlanta, GA/Richmond, VA/Norfolk
Duration: 12 months+
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Technical Systems Analyst with a strong background in healthcare insurance to join our team on a 12-month assignment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across multiple business areas and a solid technical foundation to support system analysis, data validation, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, document, and support system requirements across healthcare insurance domains.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to ensure accurate translation of business needs into technical solutions.
Work across at least two of the following functional areas:
Claims
Prior Authorizations
Disputes
Grievances & Appeals
Perform data analysis and validation using SQL or Oracle databases.
Support system integrations, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
Create and maintain documentation including functional specifications, process flows, and test cases.
Utilize JIRA for tracking requirements, defects, and project progress.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
3–6 years of experience as a Technical Systems Analyst or similar role.
Experience in at least two healthcare insurance domains (Claims, Prior Authorizations, Disputes, Grievances, Appeals).
Working knowledge of SQL and/or Oracle databases (mid-level proficiency).
Experience using JIRA or similar Agile project management tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in managed care or payer environments.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
