Technical Project Manager
Location: Onsite – Rancho Cordova, CA
Contract: 6‑month contract + extensions
Pay Rate: $60–65/hr
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead healthcare technology deployment initiatives across clinical and operational environments. This role will drive secure, compliant, and well‑coordinated system rollouts while partnering closely with IT, security, and clinical stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare technology deployment projects across multiple departments.
- Partner with IT security, infrastructure, and clinical operations teams to ensure secure and seamless system rollouts.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Ensure deployments comply with healthcare data privacy, interoperability, and cybersecurity standards.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and challenges and implement mitigation strategies.
- Oversee deployment readiness, cutover activities, and post‑deployment stabilization.
- Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to end users, IT teams, and operational staff.
- Monitor and report project progress, milestones, KPIs, and performance metrics to key stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in technical project management within healthcare environments.
- Strong background leading healthcare IT system and endpoint deployment initiatives.
- Hands‑on experience working with healthcare IT endpoints in compliance with security and regulatory standards including HIPAA, HITECH, and FDA requirements.
- Proven experience deploying, integrating, and migrating healthcare technology solutions across enterprise healthcare organizations.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex deployment projects involving cross‑functional IT, security, and clinical teams.
- Strong risk identification and mitigation skills to ensure successful project delivery.
- Experience supporting deployment readiness, cutover activities, and post‑deployment stabilization.
- Proficiency with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Strong working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to report project status, KPIs, and milestones to stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting large‑scale healthcare system rollouts, enterprise endpoint refreshes, or multi‑site technology deployments.
- Familiarity with clinical environments such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or integrated healthcare systems.
- Prior experience collaborating with clinical stakeholders, biomedical teams, or healthcare operations groups.
- Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards, EHR integrations, or clinical application deployments.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certifications.
- Experience supporting change management initiatives, user adoption strategies, or end‑user training programs.
