M-Tech has an emerging need for a Technical Project Leader to join our team, focused on providing project management expertise for Naval Surface Warfare Crane’s (NSWCC) Advanced Capabilities Group (ACG). This professional will draw upon sound project management expertise, understanding of the technology maturation process and the ability to collaborate with wide-ranging stakeholders to support the Department of Navy’s (DoN) Strategic Systems Program (SSP) Program Office.


Responsibilities

• Provide project management support to ACG and SSP’s Program Office

• Oversee and ensure the successful execution of multiple concurrent projects, managing resources, timelines, and deliverables to achieve program objectives

• Conduct monthly project reviews applying strong analytical skills and technical knowledge to lead comprehensive progress assessments, identify risks, overcome design challenges, improve processes, and optimize solutions

• Deliver detailed weekly status reports to key stakeholders including senior management and cross-functional teams, articulating complex ideas clearly and confidently, informing stakeholders of project developments, risks, and milestones while fostering collaboration and commitment

• Support development and execution of technology maturation plans, [sic] requirements technical review, preliminary and critical design reviews, technology readiness assessments, technical data packages, and technology transition agreements

• Visit project performers' facilities to conduct stakeholder tours, participate in in-person meetings, and contribute to systems engineering technology reviews

• Collaborate and work closely with government contracting specialists to facilitate contract actions, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements

• Monitor unfunded requests (UFRs) and funding status to ensure schedule adherence

• Ensure compliance with sensitive project and classification requirements


Requirements

• Active DoD secret clearance security

• 5+ years engineering experience and appropriate engineering degree

• Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills

• Works well as a member of a team, leading teams and independently, with a can-do attitude, in a fast-paced dynamic environment

• Engineers - Bachelor’s degree in math, physics, chemistry, or engineering discipline or equivalent military education (e.g. Navy Nuclear Power program)

• Program Managers - Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated Program Analyst / Program Management experience (e.g. Project Management Professional)

• Demonstrated commitment to working hard to solve hard and rewarding challenges


Preferred characteristics

• DoD experience (active duty, government, contractor) with a demonstrated ability to implement systems engineering rigor in complex operations or programs

• Outgoing, problem-solving engineers and managers looking to jump into a problem the country needs solved

• Technical problem-solving engineers who understand how to solve the technical challenges to implement MOSA affordably and effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

FLSA Status: Exempt (salaried, not eligible for overtime)

Experience/Education

• Bachelor's degree with appropriate professional experience (required)

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering (preferred)

• DoD experience (preferred)


Certification/License

• Certification in project management (preferred)

• Certification in INCOSE, MBSE or DAU (preferred)


Security clearance

• Active DoD secret clearance security (required)

• Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required clearance

• Eligible DoD Top Secret/SCI (preferred)


Schedule

• Days, Monday to Friday


Work Location

• On site 3-5 days at Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane, teleworking the remainder
