Technical Designer

Pay: $45hr-$56hr


The Technical Designer applies core drafting principles and design concepts to support real-time solutions to product and process challenges within fabrication workflows. This role translates engineering concepts into detailed part geometry and assembly definitions while collaborating across the full product lifecycle—from design through production and fleet support.


Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed drafted parts, assemblies, and product structures to support operational and quality needs

• Translate engineering concepts and feedback into precise 3D models and assembly definitions

• Perform model updates and design changes based on engineering input and requirements

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Stress, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to resolve design and process challenges

• Review electrical, electronic, and electromechanical component specifications and engineering documentation for design and production compliance

• Identify impacts of non-conformances and implement corrective and preventative actions

• Conduct lab testing and failure analysis to determine root cause of component failures

• Support evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies to enhance product competitiveness

• Develop specifications, requirements, and documentation to support tools, materials, parts, and processes

• Operate effectively in a fast-paced, agile, production environment with the ability to learn in real time Support variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd), including potential overtime and weekend work


Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree in drafting/design or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 9+ years of aerospace design experience, including detail and assembly components

• Proficiency with CATIA or equivalent 3D modeling software

• Experience with Integrated Visualization Tool (IVT)

• Understanding of pro


Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
