About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our growing Digital Merchandising Systems product team.
You will be a senior member of the product team responsible for defining strategy, conceptualizing, designing and delivering the merchandising systems that drive Williams-Sonoma Inc.'s omni-channel business. As Lead Product Manager, you will own the product roadmap, define business requirements and lead delivery of scalable merchandising solutions across all brands.
Web merchandising is at the heart of our business. This role is responsible for designing and delivering the tools our brands need to manage product assortment, enrichment, and presentation at scale. You will partner closely with Merchandising, Technology, UX, and Supply Chain teams to drive platform evolution, standardization, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has deep experience modernizing merchandising and product information systems in an eCommerce retail environment, with strong technical fluency and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Own and drive the Digital Merchandising Systems strategy and multi-year roadmap
Lead execution of large-scale, cross-functional initiatives across WSI brands
Partner with Engineering and Program Management to deliver high-quality solutions
Serve as primary liaison between Business, UX, and Technology teams
Influence senior leadership on product direction, trade-offs, and investment priorities
Drive standardization and scalability across merchandising platforms
Define and track KPIs to measure feature effectiveness and business impact
Develop business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications
Lead cross-brand initiatives and identify opportunities for reuse and efficiency
Facilitate issue resolution, risk management, and escalation when necessary
Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and platform capabilities
Mentor junior product managers and contribute to team development
Support User Acceptance Testing and production readiness
Provide ongoing support to Business and Tech teams as needed
Criteria
8+ years of product management experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
Deep experience in merchandising systems (PIM, MDM, pricing, PO lifecycle)
Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (WCM, eCom, EDAM)
Proven ability to lead large-scale platform initiatives from concept to delivery
Ability to operate across business and technical domains
Strong technical acumen and ability to manage trade-offs
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience influencing senior leadership and driving alignment
Strong execution focus with ability to manage ambiguity
This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $135,000 - $165,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
