UVAI Orthopedic is currently seeking a Tech Assistant in our outpatient imaging center located in Charlottesville, VA. This important role assists radiology technologist with patient care by helping to move patients from clinic to exam room. JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director and/or the Technologist, the Technologist Assistant:

• Is responsible for supporting the radiology staff and providing the first clinical point of contact for patients.
• Facilitates the patient flow to minimize patient wait times and maximize the utilization of resources.
• Demonstrates competence with all imaging safety compliance initiatives.
• Serves as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:

• Prior healthcare experience preferred.

EDUCATION:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
