Job Title: ServiceNow Lead / Architect – UI, React

Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on ServiceNow Lead / Architect with deep expertise in modern UI development, React, and scalable platform architecture. This role requires a strong blend of technical leadership, solution design, and hands-on development to deliver intuitive, high-performance user experiences on the ServiceNow platform.
You will play a key role in driving UI transformation, implementing modern front-end frameworks, and architecting enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Define and implement end-to-end ServiceNow architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Design modern UI/UX solutions using ServiceNow UI Framework (UI Builder / Now Experience) and React-based architectures
- Lead platform modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy UI (UI16) to modern UI experiences
- Establish design patterns, coding standards, and best practices
UI / Front-End Development
- Build and customize ServiceNow UI components using Now Experience Framework and React
- Develop responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces
- Integrate REST APIs, GraphQL, and external systems into UI applications
- Collaborate with UX designers to deliver intuitive and user-centric interfaces
Hands-On Development
- Actively contribute to coding, debugging, and performance optimization
- Develop custom applications using:
- ServiceNow Scoped Apps
- Client Scripts, Script Includes, Business Rules
- IntegrationHub, Flow Designer
- Implement advanced scripting (JavaScript / ES6+)
Leadership & Governance
- Lead and mentor a team of developers and engineers
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architecture governance
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Drive Agile/Scrum delivery practices
Integration & Platform Expertise
- Architect and implement enterprise integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
- Work with SSO, OAuth, and security frameworks
- Ensure data consistency, performance tuning, and platform optimization
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core ServiceNow Expertise
- 8+ years of ServiceNow platform experience
- Strong expertise in:
- Now Experience UI Framework / UI Builder
- Service Portal & modern UI migration
- CMDB, ITSM, CSM, HRSD (any domain)
Front-End / UI Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- React.js
- JavaScript (ES6+)
- HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
- Experience building component-based UI architectures
- Knowledge of state management, performance optimization, and accessibility
Architecture & Engineering
- Experience designing scalable, cloud-native architectures
- Strong understanding of:
- Microservices architecture
- API-first design
- Event-driven architecture
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Leadership Skills
- Proven experience as a Lead or Architect
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to drive technical strategy and innovation
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certifications:
- CSA (Certified System Administrator)
- CAD (Certified Application Developer)
- CIS (any module)
- Experience with:
- Agent Workspace / UI Builder
- IntegrationHub / Flow Designer
- Exposure to AI/GenAI integrations on ServiceNow
- Experience in enterprise-scale digital transformation programs
