PurposeThe Extruder Team Lead assists in coordinating activities within the Extruding Department to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality production of manual electrodes. This role supports production schedules through effective changeovers, equipment setup, troubleshooting, and coordination with cross‑functional teams while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities)12. Prepares, cleans, and maintains die holders and extruder heads for upcoming changeovers.
13. Reviews and approves Changeover Sheets, Part Sheets, and Pay Cards for accuracy and completeness.
14. Assists in training new Extruding Helpers, Operators, and Team Leads within the department.
15. Maintains working knowledge of Permission Notes that impact products being produced.
16. Reviews, understands, and follows departmental procedures, work instructions, EW specifications, SSW specifications, plant rules, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
17. Maintains cleanliness of work areas and complies with all safety and plant rules.
18. Operates and supports all equipment used within the Extruding Department.
19. Immediately reports safety hazards, equipment issues, or EHS concerns to the Production Team Lead or Shift Foreman 24/27.
20. Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed
