The New York office’s lawyers have extensive experience in a wide variety of securities related practice areas, including public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, tender and exchange offers, and public offerings. The New York lawyers are also involved in civil litigation, arbitration, and litigation counseling. In addition the New York office serves as the hub of much of the firm's international practice, representing foreign and American clients in cross-border transactions. New associates have the opportunity to assume front-line responsibility and to deal directly with clients at an early stage in their careers. This Tax Attorney role offers the opportunity to work on high-value mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, advising on sophisticated tax structures. This partner-track position is actively interviewing and provides a rare opportunity to gain front-line responsibility while working with industry-leading clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Advise clients on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions
• Structure and implement tax-efficient strategies for domestic and cross-border deals
• Conduct legal research and provide in-depth tax analysis
• Draft and review transaction documents, including agreements and tax provisions
• Collaborate with corporate, finance, and regulatory teams on deal execution
• Maintain direct communication with clients and provide strategic guidance
• Support all stages of transactions from planning through closing

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience as a Tax Attorney, preferably in M&A or private equity
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to the New York Bar (NY Bar required)
• Strong experience with transactional tax matters
• Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
