As the Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for compliance activities related to income, sales and use, property, franchise, and other taxes. The Tax Accountant will compile tax information and collect data to compute tax estimates, extension, and return calculations. In addition, this position will also support third party consultants and assist with other tax accounting and compliance projects.
Location: Support Center, 6600 S Bermuda Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm (fully onsite in Las Vegas)
Pay: Up to $66,000/annual

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the gathering of tax data that will be used in tax reporting compliance activities performed internally and by outsourced service provider. Specific responsibilities include:
- Utilizing general ledger queries for data analysis. o
- Aggregating, reconciling, and formatting information as required to fulfill filing obligations.
- Track information utilized for tax return preparation.
- Prepare property, sales and use, income, and other tax filing obligations.
- Maintain tax deliverable calendar to ensure on time filing and payment.
- Track tax correspondence and responses on a timely basis.
- Contribute to developing and improving tax compliance processes.
- Prepare journal entries and EFT/check requests related to tax payments.
- Prepare monthly tax general ledger account reconciliations.
- Assist in researching and responding to tax inquiries.
- Develop relationships with other company departments.
- Other tax related tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Finance, and advanced degree in Taxation or MBA. CPA license or CPA candidate preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience or similar co-op experience in one of the following tax types – Sales and Use tax, Property tax, or Income Tax in a multistate capacity.
- Analytical, detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office software, including strong Excel computation skills, and the ability to understand tax software workflow and learn applicable software applications used in the tax department is required.
- Requires ability to identify and research tax issues and effectively communicate necessary compliance steps to Tax Director.
