DUTIES:

This role is industrial water and wastewater treatment process design. The Jr. Design Engineer will work with our internal laboratory to develop treatment processes that are included in customer proposals. This role specifically designs the process flow diagrams for our capital equipment projects. This position works closely with the Research & Development Chemist, Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Sales resources to ensure the process fulfills the obligations we have established with our customers and that they are feasible in application of the project. You will assist the engineering team on the whole project from the estimation phase through to the as-built and revisions phase.

Future growth opportunities for the right candidate may include Design Engineer, Process Engineer, and more. We are a growing company that is part of the nationwide Sylmar Group of businesses.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of related or relevant experience (preferred)
  • Generated process diagrams (required)
  • Industrial or water treatment industry experience (preferred)
  • Industrial process design experience is a plus
  • Higher education with Engineering focus in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering or a combination is a plus.
