Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pega Platform Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize the Pega platform across enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, and environment management of Pega systems, ensuring high availability and reliability of business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
- Install, configure, and upgrade Pega Platform across environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Production)
- Manage Pega application servers and ensure system availability and stability
- Perform patching, hotfix application, and version upgrades
Environment Management
- Maintain multiple Pega environments and ensure consistency across environments
- Manage deployment pipelines and support release activities
- Configure and manage multi-node and clustered environments
- Handle environment refreshes and data migrations
Performance & Monitoring
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity
- Perform performance tuning at application, JVM, and database levels
- Analyze logs and resolve system bottlenecks
- Implement monitoring tools and alerts
Security & Access Management
- Manage user access, roles, and privileges within Pega
- Implement and maintain security policies and compliance standards
- Integrate Pega with enterprise authentication systems (LDAP, SSO, OAuth)
Deployment & DevOps Support
- Support CI/CD pipelines for Pega deployments
- Automate deployment processes using tools like Jenkins or similar
- Manage product rules, application packaging, and migrations
- Coordinate with development teams for smooth releases
Database & Infrastructure Management
- Work with database teams to manage Pega database performance and maintenance
- Configure and maintain data schemas, backups, and recovery processes
- Ensure proper integration with underlying infrastructure (WebSphere, Tomcat, etc.)
Troubleshooting & Support
- Provide L2/L3 support for production issues
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
- Resolve platform-related issues in a timely manner
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Pega Platform Administration
- Hands-on experience with Pega 7/8.x environments
- Knowledge of application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, Tomcat)
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows environments
- Understanding of JVM tuning and performance optimization
- Experience with database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
- Knowledge of security protocols (LDAP, SSO, OAuth)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or System Administrator certification
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Exposure to Kubernetes and Docker
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace)
