Must-Have Qualifications

  • Licensure: LSIT or Licensed Land Surveyor (LS) in the state of Washington with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the surveying industry, preferred.
  • Drone Licensure: Required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in managing field teams, conducting land surveys, and providing leadership in a surveying environment. Experience with topographic, ALTA, telecom, and construction surveying is highly preferred.

Position Overview

The Survey Field Operations Manager will lead and oversee daily field operations for topographic, ALTA, telecom, and construction surveying projects. This role is responsible for managing field crews, coordinating schedules and resources, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field surveyors, ensuring high performance, safety, and quality standards
  • Oversee daily scheduling and coordination of field crews, subcontractors, and resources
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and progress, adjusting schedules as needed to meet deadlines
  • Execute fieldwork as needed, serving as a hands-on leader and technical resource
  • Collaborate with project managers, office staff, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Review field data and deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with client specifications
  • Oversee maintenance, calibration, and proper use of surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, laser scanners)
  • Drive adoption of new surveying technologies and process improvements
  • Enforce safety protocols and lead regular field safety meetings
