Position Overview:
The Land Surveying Field Manager, Topo will oversee and manage a team of field surveyors to ensure the successful completion of topographic, ALTA and other surveys. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and directing field activities, scheduling, managing resources, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and client satisfaction. The role requires a strong background in land surveying, excellent leadership skills, and experience with advanced surveying technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of field surveyors, providing direction, mentorship, training and support to ensure efficiency, safety, and high-quality work output.
Field Crew Scheduling:
Project Coordination: Work closely with the office team, including project managers, survey technicians, and administrative staff, to ensure timely and successful completion of projects. Assist in the preparation of field packets and deliverables as needed.
Technology Emphasis: Terrane is laser focused on continuous improvement and being at the absolute leading edge in applying surveying technologies for our field and office teams. As such, a significant portion of this role is assessing and integrating these technologies to the furthest extent possible.
Field Surveying: Execute a number of field jobs per week as needed. As the scheduler, you will choose the projects that make sense for you to execute.
Equipment Management: Oversee the use, maintenance, and calibration of surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and traverse difficult terrain.
Valid Driver’s License: Must have a clean driving record and be willing to travel to job sites in the Bellevue and surrounding areas.
