Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Description

The role of a Surgical Technologist involves providing exceptional customer service to patients in a compassionate and caring manner. You will assist with non-clinical patient positioning to ensure comfort and safety under the guidance of licensed staff. Additionally, you will ensure that procedure rooms are well-stocked with the necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment before each case.

Responsibilities

  • Verify the presence of equipment and alert leadership or licensed staff if equipment issues are identified.
  • Assist with room setup and turnover between procedures according to facility protocols.
  • Support the team by transporting supplies, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Clean, organize, and prepare instruments and equipment for transport to sterilization following ASC policies.
  • Assist with stocking and inventory of supplies in ORs, sterile storage, and related areas.
  • Communicate supply usage and inventory needs to Materials Management or leadership.
  • Follow all ASC safety, infection prevention, and waste-handling policies.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in sterilization and patient care.
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of ophthalmology, prepping, and cleaning.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Surgical Tech required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technologist Program, either accredited or hospital-based.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
  • Surgical Technologist license is highly preferred.
  • COA certification preferred.
  • BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
Work Environment

The position is based at an ASC location in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This is a part-time position averaging 15-20 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday. Typical shifts range from 6 to 10 hours, depending on the surgery schedule. The team comprises 20-30 employees. Compensation will vary based on certification status. The role offers competitive pay, no holiday shifts, and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts if needed. The patient load is lighter than hospital systems, with 3-5 surgeries per week and no complicated surgeries performed on-site.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.37 - $32.22/hr.
