Job Title: Surgical Technician – Cardiovascular Open Heart-Traveler (Days)

Job Type: 13-Week Contract

Shift: Days

Schedule Flexibility:

•Open to 4x10-hour shifts or 3x12-hour shifts

On-Call: Required

Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays

Pay: $50/hr on w2

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Open Heart Surgical Technician to join a high-volume Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience assisting in open heart and complex surgical procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during open heart, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
• Participate in on-call rotation and emergency procedures

Requirements:

• Open Heart surgery experience required (mandatory)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy OR setting
• Experience with EPIC charting system required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures across multiple specialties (cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, etc.)
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
• Traveler/agency candidates must be willing to take call
