Actalent Healthcare Services is looking for a medical receptionist/surgery scheduler for a specialty clinic located in Denton, TX!

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate surgeries efficiently.
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment rooms as appropriate.
  • Record patient data prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Obtain all necessary patient records as required by physicians prior to treatment or procedures.
  • Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures by standing and taking notes while the doctor performs duties.
  • Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
  • Answer patient telephone calls for referral to physicians, nurses, or pharmacists.
  • Phone in prescriptions and make other patient calls as directed by physicians and RN.
  • Inform physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows.
  • Perform other administrative duties such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception as requested by supervisor or physician.

Essential Skills

  • Certified Medical Assistant
  • Experience with the Athena system
  • 2-3 years of experience as a scheduler or certified medical assistant

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay: $20-23/hour
  • Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
