MajorDuties

  • As a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-2003-11, you will formulate and implement the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and mission requirements. Develop, coordinate and implement policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployments, inter-service support agreements, emergency support, training exercises support and environmental compliance. Ensure coordination between units, JFHQ staff, USPFO, NGB and other agencies on command logistics support requirements. Initiate equipment redistribution guidance. Responsible for operation of the logistics operations center to support JFHQ Emergency Operations Center. Obtain data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness. Develop the Equipment on Hand policy to initiate equipment redistribution actions. Develop, staff and implement logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization. Receive input from the Surface Maintenance Manager (SMM) regarding the Mission Support Plans. Develop requirements for new equipment training. Serve as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program. Update Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan. Prepare the annual DCSLOG/G4 management controls statement of assurance. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

Military Grades: SFC(E7)-CPT(O3) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation. Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
