Description

  • This role is responsible for inventory control, purchasing, and production coordination to ensure accurate inventory levels, timely procurement, and on-schedule production and fulfillment.
  • Manage inventory and purchasing activities within QuickBooks and the inventory management system.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the production process and production scheduling.
  • Monitor pricing and quantities of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to support production demands.
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Manager and Plant Manager to keep production schedules on track.
  • Schedule new purchase order items into the production schedule and create sales orders for ingredients as needed.
  • Partner with the Sales team to ensure finished goods are scheduled with appropriate lead times.
  • Enter and maintain accurate sales orders in the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing regarding pricing and supplier availability.
  • Work with Finance and Accounting to ensure new product pricing is correctly set up in inventory and accounting software.
  • Follow up with suppliers on raw material and packaging orders.
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to ensure timely delivery of finished goods and receipt of incoming materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of inventory management experience (manufacturing industry required)
  • Excellent attention to detail is a must
  • Strong organizational skills & time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate professionally and maintain professional relationships
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
