Job Description

This position is responsible for the supervision, engagement, training, coaching, and counseling of all Lift Truck Operators and Repack associates. The Supply Chain Shift Coordinator works closely with all employees to ensure the highest levels of productivity and throughput are achieved, as well as maintaining a perfect safety record. Responsibilities also include the daily execution of the operation plan, to ensure that all customer orders are shipped based on priority, without compromising quality or customer service levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, engage, coach and counsel all lift truck operators and repack personnel
  • Responsible for the daily execution of the operation plan created by the Operations Manager/GM
  • Lead daily Tier 0 & Tier 1 meetings, ensuring standard work is followed, and all issues and problems are resolved or routed appropriately
  • Ensures safety in the workspace by conducting safety audits, safety training and encouraging a safety orientated culture
  • Monitors and assesses Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) to determine efficiency of workflow.
  • Monitor order queue, and ensure balance of labor, equipment and warehouse work tasks
  • Plan, release and ensure timely completion of the waves in the warehouse management system and ensure cross dock opportunities are taken advantage of
  • Identifies and ensures timely unload of HOT inbound shipments, completion of consolidation moves and replenishments.
  • Maintains yard and door status, and conducts weekly yard audits
  • Addresses problems, issues or adjustments in a timely manner
  • Monitors operator productivity and provides constructive feedback to help operators obtain and maintain maximum productivity levels
  • Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control
  • Drives innovation and Continuous Improvement at the site, is a champion of Change Management to support operational improvements
  • Maintains appropriate records, prepares reports and monitors inventory
  • Coordinates logistics activities with internal and external customers

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree preferred, and/or 3-5 years business experience in Distribution/Warehouse Logistics
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) & Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective problem identification & follow through to issue resolution
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Detail orientated, with high analytical ability
  • Demonstrates financial acumen
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Displays the ability to work well with a variety of individuals

Shift/Hours:

  • COP – 6am – 6pm

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $67,000-$95,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
