About the Role

We’re working with a growing manufacturing company looking to bring on a Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations. This is a highly visible role working directly with operations, production, and leadership, with a mix of strategic planning and hands-on execution.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the full supply chain lifecycle from sourcing raw materials through delivery of finished goods
  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies focused on cost reduction, efficiency, and on-time delivery
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance tracking, and issue resolution
  • Oversee inventory planning and management to balance service levels and working capital
  • Lead demand planning and forecasting efforts in partnership with sales and operations
  • Manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
  • Track and report on key supply chain metrics (OTIF, inventory turns, cost savings, lead times)
  • Identify risks across the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to ensure continuity
  • Drive process improvements across procurement, logistics, and production planning
  • Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, finance, and customer service to align supply with demand

What We’re Looking For

  • 6–10+ years of supply chain experience, preferably within manufacturing or distribution
  • Strong background in procurement, inventory planning, and logistics
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze data and drive decisions around cost, inventory, and service levels
  • Proven experience managing suppliers and negotiating contracts
  • Leadership experience or ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred

Why This Role

  • Direct impact on operations, cost structure, and delivery performance

  • Opportunity to build and improve processes (not just maintain them)
  • Stable, growing company with a strong footprint in the Midwest

About the Company

  • Mid-sized manufacturing organization with a strong presence in the Chicago market. Known for operational stability, long-tenured leadership, and a collaborative culture between production and corporate teams.
