The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Supply Chain Lead to support and improve our purchasing, inventory, and vendor management processes.
This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–3 years of experience (buyer, purchasing coordinator, inventory analyst, etc.) who is ready to take on more ownership and grow into a strategic role over time.
You’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by ensuring materials are available, costs are controlled, and systems are continuously improving.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Inventory
Execute daily purchasing activities across:
- Core inventory
- New parts and components
- Consumables
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstock
- Assist in building and maintaining basic demand forecasts
Vendor Management
- Place and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and lead times
- Support efforts to consolidate vendors and improve pricing where possible
Operations Support
- Ensure on-time availability of materials to support production
- Troubleshoot supply or inventory issues as they arise
- Assist in analyzing purchasing trends and cost drivers
Systems & Process Improvement
- Help implement and maintain inventory and purchasing systems
- Support development of standardized processes (e.g., reorder systems, vendor tracking)
- Contribute to ERP rollout and data accuracy
Reporting & Visibility
- Assist in building and maintaining simple KPI dashboards (inventory levels, purchasing trends, vendor performance)
- Track and report on key supply chain metrics
Growth & Development (Important)
This role is designed to grow into a more strategic position over time. As you develop, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of supply chain strategy and planning
- Lead vendor negotiations and cost reduction initiatives
- Drive measurable improvements in COGS and operational efficiency
- Build more advanced forecasting and reporting systems
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience as a buyer, purchasing coordinator, or similar role
- Exposure to inventory systems or ERP platforms
- Strong Excel / data tracking skills
- Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or electronics environments
- Familiarity with cost analysis or vendor negotiations
