ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst to support a fast-paced logistics and transportation operations team in North Reading, MA. This 3-month contract role is ideal for a data-driven analyst with strong Excel and problem-solving skills who enjoys working in a high-volume, ambiguous environment. The Supply Chain Analyst will focus on optimizing network performance, supporting virtual transactions, and driving process improvements across supply chain operations.
Job Description:
- Analyze supply chain and transportation data to support capacity planning and operational decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, streamlining processes, and reducing waste
- Design and implement solutions to improve network performance and logistics operations
- Support virtual transaction workflows and ensure timely execution of daily operational processes
- Develop and maintain advanced Excel models and data analysis tools to support business needs
- Utilize SQL to extract, analyze, and validate large datasets
- Maintain and update internal documentation for training, processes, and system configurations
- Partner with internal stakeholders on a daily basis to support operational needs and resolve issues
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
Must Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Transportation, Operations, or related field
- 1–5 years of experience in data analysis, supply chain, logistics, or operations
- Strong data analytics experience with a focus on problem solving
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling, data analysis, etc.)
- Experience using SQL for data querying and analysis
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with large datasets
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with ambiguity
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Experience in supply chain or logistics environments (e.g., Amazon, DHL, FedEx, Target, etc.)
- Exposure to transportation or trucking operations
- Experience with capacity planning or network optimization
- Familiarity with systems configuration or process documentation
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and workflows
