MajorDuties

  • As a Supervisory Special Assistant, GS-0301-14, your typical work assignments will include the following under supervision: Provide expert counsel and guidance, and services on a wide variety of critical, high-profile, time-sensitive and often controversial issues related to the management and administration of the School District's programs and activities including personnel, property & supply, contracting, budget, finance, and safety. Serve as the primary liaison with Tribal officials and government, and/or community leadership on strategic and operational matters with full and final signature authority. Interact with management and program officials, members of committees and executive level staff, other agencies of the Federal Government, State agencies, and Tribal officials and representatives. Lead and execute meetings, conferences and engagements with executive officials, senior officials from various Federal and State organizations, Department of Education, Congressional Staff members; Tribal government officials, community leaders, grantees, school boards and other stakeholders. Develop and deliver presentations and related materials for public speaking and other engagements, and outreach activities; Plan and conduct complex qualitative and quantitative analytical research involving any administrative area of schools and programs.
