All top qualified candidates upon successful completion will be placed on a roster in ranked numerical order and when a vacancy occurs; the applicant at the top of the roster who meets all requirements will be selected. The Lieutenant Assessment will have three parts: The test will be used to determine best qualified candidates. Parts one and two of the test will be administered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) on the same day at all designated locations within the local commuting area of headquarters or the field facility. The structured interview will be conducted using a three-person panel consisting of one U.S. Mint Police representative, one representative of an outside law enforcement agency and one OPM representative. All panel members will be trained on interviewing procedures. The testing date for parts one (job knowledge) and two (written assessment) is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 20,2026. OPM will communicate with the applicants deemed minimally qualified using the email address supplied in the application regarding the finalized testing date, time, location, and study materials. This is a non-bargaining unit position CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: Pass a pre-employment physical examination meeting agency medical requirements (if applicable) meeting the following standards: Distance Vision - Uncorrected distance vision must be at least 20/70 (Snellen) in each eye, and corrected to at least 20/20 (Snellen) in each eye.
