Position Overview

The Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations – Second Shift will lead a multi-shift production team responsible for GMP manufacturing and packaging of pharmaceutical products.

You will play a critical role in driving operational excellence by coaching teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential for success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all manufacturing and packaging activities comply with cGMP requirements and established procedures
  • Plan and coordinate cleaning, production, packaging, and documentation activities to maximize efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Product Development
  • Review batch records and provide subject matter expertise
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and compliance
  • Identify production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Track and communicate daily production performance and metrics
  • Lead, coach, and develop manufacturing technicians to enhance engagement and productivity
  • Oversee training compliance and identify development opportunities for team members
  • Support technical documentation, including creation and revision through change control systems


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in a production environment (combination of education and experience considered)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing preferred
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications
  • Experience writing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Strong understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Proven ability to train and develop employees in a manufacturing setting
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and manual work for extended periods
  • Background in industrial controls and PLCs is a plus
  • Associate’s Degree preferred
