Overview:


As a Superintendent at Sphere Properties, you play a vital role in delivering the high end, detail driven residential projects we are known for. You oversee all phases of construction ensuring exceptional craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism.


This position requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills, serving as a leader, problem-solver, and key liaison between Project Manager, Head of Field Ops, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.


Key Responsibilities:


Project & Site Management


• Lead and document all daily onsite activities while maintaining compliance with Sphere Properties’ standards and OSHA safety regulations

• Direct and coordinate subcontractors’ field personnel in alignment with project plans, schedule and supervisory practices

• Communicate daily updates, progress, and issues to senior leadership

• Identify and address issues quickly to minimize delays and cost impacts

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction quality and adherence to approved submittals

• Maintain and manage the project schedule, including baseline updates and two week lookahead schedules

• Oversee job site mobilization, logistics, housekeeping, and organization of all project documentation

• Mid-rise multifamily experience a plus in Miami market


Leadership & Team Development


• Build and guide high performing teams through consistent coaching, direction, and feedback

• Support company technology initiatives and help team members adopt required tools

• Foster strong, ethical relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors


Coordination & Communication


• Work closely with leadership on premobilization tasks and development of startup plans

• Attend or lead key project meetings—including turnover, schedule reviews, and closeout

• Manage subcontractor performance, compliance, and completion benchmarks

• Resolve any conflicts that may arise among subcontractors in order to ensure the smooth execution of their work

• Communicate clearly and professionally with all project stakeholders


Documentation & Controls


• Complete daily reports, maintain field logs, track materials and deliveries, and ensure all as built drawings remain current

• Support subcontractor pay application review, contract compliance, document control, and cost recovery efforts

• Ensure safety documentation, inspections, and compliance protocols are consistently met


Education & Experience


• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically custom high end multifamily or luxury condos in Florida

• OSHA 10 hour or 30 hour a plus


Required Skills & Competencies


• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and scheduling documents

• Familiarity with LEED principles a plus

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities

• Strong judgment in balancing project costs, schedules, and quality

• Skilled in managing subcontractor performance and maintaining high craftsmanship standards

• Proficiency with Procore, Autodesk, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Adobe tools

• Ability to identify when issues require escalation
