🏗️ Traveling Superintendent | Ground Up Retail Construction


$115,000 – $130,000 base salary aligned with experience, plus travel package, benefits, long term progression opportunities, and strong project pipeline


Blayze Group is partnered with a respected General Contractor that is looking to appoint a Traveling Superintendent to support a growing pipeline of ground up retail and commercial projects across Texas and the wider US market.


This is a strong opportunity for a Superintendent who enjoys being out in the field, leading projects from dirt through turnover, and working for a contractor that offers autonomy, leadership visibility, and genuine progression as the business continues to grow.


The Role


• Lead ground up retail and commercial construction projects from site mobilization through final completion

• Oversee projects typically ranging from $1M to $15M in value

• Manage daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, site logistics, quality control, and safety performance

• Drive project schedules and ensure work is completed in line with agreed milestones

• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal leadership

• Manage site meetings, daily reports, look ahead schedules, manpower planning, and field documentation

• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documents to ensure accurate field execution

• Identify field issues early and work proactively to resolve schedule, quality, or coordination challenges

• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders throughout delivery

• Travel to project sites as required, with travel related support provided by the company

• Represent the company professionally on site and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard


Background Sought


• 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction

• Ground up commercial or retail construction experience is required

• Experience delivering projects between $1M and $15M is highly desirable

• Strong understanding of sitework, foundations, structure, envelope, MEP coordination, interiors, punch, and closeout

• Previous experience working on retail, small box, multi site, or fast paced commercial projects is strongly preferred

• Tenant improvement experience is useful, but candidates must have genuine ground up project experience

• Experience working for a General Contractor is strongly preferred

• Comfortable traveling for projects as required

• Strong ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, site safety, quality, and field productivity

• Confident communicator with the ability to lead from the front and solve problems quickly

• Stable career history with reputable commercial contractors preferred
