Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee key projects within our organization. Initially, you will assist on a commercial development project aimed at repurposing an old facility into a complex for city youth, featuring housing, a training center, and a commercial kitchen. This project involves connecting two adjacent buildings. Following this project, you will transition to our Baltimore City Housing team to oversee development projects involving the rebuilding or replacement of older row homes across entire blocks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing a commercial development project for 2-3 months, repurposing an old facility into a mixed-use complex.
• Connect two adjacent buildings as part of the commercial development project.
• Transition to manage projects within the Baltimore City Housing team, focusing on rebuilding or replacing older row homes.
• Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors on site across various projects.
• Ensure project schedules are maintained and on track.
• Oversee MEP project upgrades and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a project support role for a general contractor.
• Proficiency in managing project schedules.
• Experience with MEP project upgrades.
• Strong interior construction, particularly with rehabilitation work.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors across various projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction management and tenant improvement projects.
• Knowledge of subcontractor management.

Work Environment

The Superintendent will work on-site with a small project team. The current project site is exposed to the elements due to ongoing renovations. The role involves working on adaptive re-use projects, transforming old industrial buildings into mixed-use structures in the Baltimore area. These projects are both interesting and rewarding, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to community development

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Annapolis, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $43.27/hr.
