ATS is seeking a Structural Engineering Department Manager in our Austin, Texas office. In this role, you will be the manager leading our Structural Engineering team in the Central Texas region.

A successful candidate will be interested in managing and growing an established Structural Engineering team with the backing of company resources and with a steady flow of clientele because of the strong, established ATS brand. This key position will oversee a variety of engineering projects for the construction industry, including residential foundation and framing designs, wind brace designs, commercial structural engineering and more.

Job Activities Include

• Staff and resource management
• Staff mentorship and development
• Technical quality control
• Marketing and proposal development
• Establishing and maintaining budgets
• Execution of projects from inception through completion
• Collaborating with other discipline teams in the organization as required
• Coordinating multiple disciplines on local or national projects
• Participation in business development and marketing activities and events

Specific Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Architectural, or Civil Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
• 7 to 15+ years of structural design experience
• Proven leadership skills
• Experience engineering residential and commercial projects
• Experience with foundation (post-tension and conventionally reinforced), framing, wind bracing and retaining wall designs, forensic investigations, design letters and site evaluations
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage clients
• Willing to work closely with a team of terrific people
