Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to oversee the production and management of construction documents. The role involves designing both simple and complex steel structural systems for industrial and commercial facilities. The structures will include piping and conduit supports, anchors, catwalks, platforms, and pedestals for tool installations.

Responsibilities

  • Design steel structural systems ranging from simple to complex for industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Create construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate and communicate with team members, clients, and subcontractors across disciplines to discuss design strategies.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in structural engineering with a focus on steel structures.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for design and calculations.
  • Thorough understanding of AISC, ASCE codes, and seismic design principles.
  • Registered EIT, with a PE preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Familiarity with current building codes, particularly OSSC and ASCE7.
  • The role will eventually require someone to stamp documents.
Work Environment

The role involves working both in a cubicle-style office environment and onsite at client locations. Collaboration with contractors and other consultants is a key part of the role. The position offers the opportunity to work with some of the biggest clients on the West Coast.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $55.00/hr.
