Job Description

We are seeking a talented Structural Steel Detailer to join a dynamic Structural Steel Design/Build firm specializing in the design and construction of warehouse and distribution centers to mid-rise multi-story structures. This role is based in Cincinnati, OH, and offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects within the steel industry.

Responsibilities

• Adapt Structural and Architectural drawings into fabrication shop drawings and field use erection plans.
• Coordinate and design with customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Attend design and job site meetings.
• Print, email, and distribute plans, RFPs, and other documents.
• Write RFIs and submittals.
• Print drawings for estimating and fabrication purposes.
• Enter bill of material from drawings into EJE software.
• Create job schedules.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SDS2 for structural detailing and modeling.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to convert architectural drawings into shop drawings.
• Understanding of building design, including blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with a Building Design experience for commercial buildings.
• Exposure to Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in collaboration with a Project Manager.

Work Environment

The work environment is collaborative, with three Project Managers and two detailers currently in the firm. You will work with advanced technology, including AutoCAD, Revit, and SDS2. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.00/hr.
