Comp: $85K–$95K base salary

THE ROLEMy client is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to lead enterprise sourcing strategy and drive cost-effective, reliable procurement across the business.
Reporting to the CFO, this person will partner closely with Purchasing, Operations, Finance, Quality, and product teams to own sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and procurement performance. The role is focused on improving margins, strengthening supplier performance, and ensuring supply continuity.
WHAT YOU’LL DOStrategic Sourcing & Category Management
- Own sourcing strategies across materials, manufacturing, and indirect spend
- Lead RFQs, cost analysis, negotiations, and supplier selection
- Manage $150M+ in annual spend
- Track market trends to identify savings and mitigate risk
Supplier Management
- Build and manage key supplier relationships
- Track and improve KPIs (OTIF, quality, lead times)
- Partner with internal teams to resolve performance issues
- Support supplier reviews and SRM programs
Cost & Margin Improvement
- Drive cost savings and pricing optimization
- Lead negotiations, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Provide spend visibility and insights to leadership
- Partner with Finance on budgets and risk
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with product/design teams on new materials and suppliers
- Align with plant buyers on sourcing execution
- Share procurement metrics and risks with leadership
- Support value engineering initiatives
Governance & Risk
- Maintain procurement policies and compliance
- Manage contracts and renewals
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
Procurement Tech & Analytics
- Own reporting and dashboards (Excel, Power BI, ERP)
- Help drive adoption of automation and digital tools
- Ensure clean, accurate data across systems
WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR- 5–7 years in procurement or strategic sourcing (manufacturing required)
- Experience managing raw materials and global suppliers
- Strong track record of cost savings and margin improvement
- Highly analytical, KPI-driven mindset
- Strong communicator who can influence cross-functionally
- Experience with ERP systems (Kinetic is a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (Power BI is a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree required; CPSM/CPSP preferred
