Key Focus: Supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing.
Experience: Strong individual contributors, self-directed, ability to negotiate with the focus on technology procurement (especially with contract renewals). Should have experience in RFPs.
Ideal candidates will be expected to review contracts and highlight concerns. Experience working with legal partners would be a plus!
Technology knowledge: MS Office Suite. Background in staffing/MSP would not work. Needs understanding of software contracts.
Interview Process (2) rounds.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for their assigned spend categories within the IT Organization, including the associated suppliers, internal stakeholders and the sourcing strategy.This person will drive sourcing initiatives, negotiations and strategies, which have a significant financial impact for specific functional/operational areas or specific spend categories. In addition, you will deliver value-added category management activities which include client stakeholder management, contract management, supplier performance / risk management, supply market monitoring, continuous improvement, ongoing cost reductions, supplier review and issue resolution.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with internal IT stakeholders to help drive new cost reduction initiatives.
Lead the development of strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate price, terms and quality requirements with suppliers for initiatives of ranging value, including high-value, technically complex products and services (IT Hardware, Software, Telecommunications and IT Consulting & Services).
Support global IT organization in implementing best practices in all phases of contracting processes for IT products and services.
Work with all levels of the IT organization to transform business requirements for IT products and services into actionable scope of works/specifications.
