As a Strategic Insights Consultant within People Analytics, you will operate as a Human Capital Consultant supporting an HR Center of Excellence. You will create an analytic roadmap to support the HR Center of Excellence, identifying and writing user stories, prioritizing work and managing a backlog. You will develop analytics strategies that are customer-centric, using data to solve business problems, answer questions, guide decisions, and improve the effectiveness of HR teams in supporting employees.

Working cross-functionally, you will build consensus to implement your strategies and solutions in iterative and incremental ways. You will work with stakeholders to translate business problems into analytic questions for development partners; and to translate data and complex analytic-derived insights into easy to understand actions for business stakeholders. You will draw insights from across our advanced analytics, research, monitoring and reporting services to deliver insights that are rich in data storytelling, and drive clients to take action. You will work to drive data literacy within the HR Center of Excellence, encouraging stakeholders to integrate data and analytics into day-to-day business operations, using data to make informed decisions. You will be a hands-on leader, supporting and advocating for your clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively partner with leaders and other senior managers by providing leadership for the identification and transformation of data into actionable information that drives strategies resulting in positive outcomes for employees.
  • Understand business strategies and objectives and collaborate across the enterprise to predict current and future needs.
  • Consult with clients on the data they present and communicate; lead in utilizing data visualization best practices to tell stories that drive both engagement and action; influence clients to integrate data into decision-making, increase data literacy, and build acceptance of tools, programs, and services.
  • Create and scope projects that shape new analytics products or services. Develop and represent client analytics roadmaps, manage complex multi-stream and long-term analytics programs, and advocate client interests.
  • Manage client analytics product backlog, create and prioritize user stories, defining acceptance criteria and obtaining requirements sign-off.
  • Implement controls and processes within the business to ensure adherence to relevant risk management, legal and compliance expectations and requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of strategic planning experience
  • 3+ years of relationship management experience with business and technology partners
  • 2+ years of experience with analytical methods used in statistical analysis, modeling, and reporting

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to present and discuss information in a way that persuades, educates and enhances understanding at all levels
  • Experience developing frameworks for data analytics, metrics and dashboard and associated reporting
  • Experience gaining credibility, respect and consensus through strategic vision and outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Human Capital Analytics domain knowledge, including ways to apply analytical approaches, technical solutions, and self-service tools in consulting
  • Product ownership experience
  • Knowledge of Financial Services and other related industries (technology, manufacturing, retail, consumer packaged goods, etc.) and understanding of emerging trends, compliance, regulatory, and economic environment, and the impact on Wells Fargo
  • Experience translating data from multiple sources into actionable and meaningful insights and impactful presentations that drive change.
  • Undergraduate college degree; Master’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience in SQL, R, or Python
  • Strong collaborative style, with an execution and results-oriented focus 
  • Utilization of BI Tools such as Oracle BI and Business Objects, and Tableau.
  • 3+ years of data visualization experience
