The team is an integrated, multi-disciplinary group that is fast-moving and looking for motivated individuals that can contribute and collaborate closely with the team to deliver innovative solutions. As a member of the SCI team, you will solve some of the most exciting problems in the distributed energy and industrial power infrastructure space while helping shape the direction of our products.The Enphase SCI team is seeking a Staff Power Test Engineer to support prototyping, planning, setup, and test of next generation system products in our Austin, Texas laboratory.What you will do
Understand our unique product and systems architectures and help design applicable test plans to evaluate performance
Help build new power product and systems prototypes and experiment test setups
Execute test sequences, take measurements, analyze data, and document results from prototype product and systems testing
Work closely with hardware, mechanical , and systems design engineers to debug, test, and improve our products
Specify, coordinate, and automate laboratory equipment to achieve unique test capabilities
Understand automated test frameworks and basic scripting (Python, shell)
Demonstrate safe electrical work practices and contribute to safe work practices and procedures.
Who you are and What you bring
BS/MS/PhD Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline with hands on high voltage equipment test experience
Minimum experiencefor a Staff Engineer:BS and 8+ yearsrelevantexperience/ MS and 6+ years / PhD and 3+ years
Candidates with greater levels of experience may be considered and are encouraged to apply
Experience installing, testing and troubleshooting electrical products and systems at voltages at or above 480V (ideally medium voltage AC and up to 1000 Vdc) while applying electrical safe work practices
Proficiency with specifying and using common power laboratory test equipment including power meters, electronic loads, power supplies, oscilloscopes, etc.
Experience understanding product architecture and developing test scenarios/plans
Proficiency developing and executing test scripts in scripting languages such as Python
Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion in a timely manner and with high quality to support team success
Additional Desired Skills
Experience working with medium voltage AC equipment
Familiarity with HIL simulation-based validation
Proficiency with organizing and analyzing experiment data
Prificiency with circuit board soldering and rework
Work locationAustin, TXThe base pay range for this position is $100,000k to $151,000k. This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
