JobSummary

TheSr. Training Specialist roleplays a critical role in advancing ourCoach & Grow Talent across the enterprisewith a focus on our Customer Service Center (CSC) in Raleigh. This role supportssimple, scalable, and impactful learning experiences. TheSr. Training Specialistcollaborates closely with subject matter experts, Training Managers, HRPartners, and business leaders to drive high-quality initiatives that enhance the Team Member Experience and promote operational excellence.This role willreportto the Director of Organizational Development.

This roleis responsible forenabling the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Training Department.This role willprimarily focus oncreatinglearningexperiences,inclusive ofcurriculum design,whilemanagingin-person and virtualworkshop planningand preparation.

What will you do?

CSC Onboarding Lead:

  • Design, build, andmaintainownership ofallonboarding experiencesfortheCSC.

  • Work withkey leaders tobuilduniqueonboarding programscustomizedto the needsof eachbusinessfunction.

  • Manage the planning and executionofsupplementaryonboarding experiences such as storevisits,coffee chats,andteam member networksignupswhile buildingadditionalcomponents that driveteam memberengagement.

  • Determineprogram KPIs andcreatequarterly reportonteam membersurvey resultsand performanceas itcorrelates withpathway completion.

  • Advise onconnection points and best practices from CSC toleveragein Field and Supply Chain Onboarding.

OD/Training Program Support:

  • Support change management efforts by designingcommunications plans, tools, and new processesto support OD/training activities.

  • Partner with business leaders to define,translate, andbuildsuccessprofilesinto structured learning pathways.

  • Build tools and trainingexperiencesthat strengthen time to competence for frontline and leadership roles.

  • Defineprogram KPIsandanalyze impactonteam member performance and businessresults.

  • Ensure all programs are inclusive, accessible, and designedto support AAP’s Culture.

  • Other duties as assigned.

CSCLearnerExperienceSupport:

  • Partner acrossTrainingorganizationtoevaluate existing content, suggestimprovements,design andbuild content asdeterminedbybusinessopportunitiesandreportinganalytics.

  • Participate inenterprise-wide intake process to consult on best learning practices for request.

  • Identifyand recommendlearning solutions tosupport requests from CSC functions,leveragingcross-functional training resources as needed.

  • Support the creation ofcurriculum assets:eLearning modules, videos, microlearning, simulations,ILT/vILT,and performance support tools.

  • Manage the planning and execution of multiple events and workshops to ensure a meaningful and memorable experience for participants(roomscheduling,registration,travel, accommodations,etc).

  • Cultivates and manages relationships andtimelycommunications for Leaders to include workshop registrations, travel arrangements, class schedules, participant concerns, and program feedback.

  • Maintain material and supply inventories to ensure adequate supplies areon handwhen needed.

  • Be responsible fortimelyandaccuratereporting of all workshop expenses.

  • Provide customer service and support for participants, field partners, and trainers, for current and future events.

  • Establish andmaintainrelationships with vendor partners, including hotels, caterers, venues, suppliers, and travel agents.

  • Lead the facilitation ofweeklysection of workshops to introduce participants.

  • Be present and available at training programs to ensureprogramis running smoothly and respond toparticipantand trainer needs.

  • Superior organization and planning skills asdemonstratedthrough the coordination of complex events or projects

  • Demonstrated experience independently planning and managing complex events, preferably learning events that lead to meaningful participant experiences.

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,clientsandcustomers.

  • Professional and unbiased withdemonstratedmastery of customer service skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across functions and levels to achieve businessobjectivesand drive strategic change.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

Certifications, Experience, and Education:

  • Certifications:Nonerequired

  • Experience:2-5years of experience as a coordinator or large-scale administrative role; preferably in a Training or HR related field; and

  • Education:Bachelor’sDegree in Human Resources, Project Management, BusinessAdministrationor similar field of study;or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Location & Work Availability:

This position is Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote), based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.
