Overview:
- We are seeking an Advanced Systems Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure and cloud operations in a fast-paced government IT environment. This role involves managing complex systems across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring performance, security, and scalability of mission-critical applications and services.
- You will play a key role in designing, administering, and optimizing infrastructure, while supporting ongoing IT initiatives across cloud platforms, networking, security, and DevOps environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain, and expand enterprise IT infrastructure
- Administer and manage Windows Servers (2012–2022) and IIS environments
- Monitor systems for performance, availability, and security
- Manage AWS and Azure cloud environments (deployment, optimization, troubleshooting)
- Configure and maintain network systems (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, file sharing, NTFS permissions)
- Develop and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and projects
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues
- Recommend and implement system upgrades and improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders
- Support middleware tools, automation platforms, and batch processing systems
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and operational standards
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5–8 years of experience in systems engineering / infrastructure administration
- 3–5 years in IT operations, support, and network environments
- 2–3 years experience with:
- Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022)
- IIS Administration
- Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, CIFS/Samba, NTFS)
- AWS Cloud (Required)
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft Azure cloud experience
- Experience with GCP or other cloud platforms
- Microsoft 365 / enterprise Microsoft ecosystem
- Linux administration (RedHat, Ubuntu)
- Middleware technologies (API Management, automation tools)
- DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
